Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
This marks his initial title following the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of the previous year.
The win also means he has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a title is particularly special," commented ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His defensive approach and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had led some to wonder if his capacity to play at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform assertively, backed up by an improved service.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to force a third set.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a close third set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
